


During 1973 around the time of Love Unlimited Second Album Release "Under the Inflence of" while working on Demo Recording's for a Male Singer, Barry White was persuaded to go front of the Microphome for the first time, he was very reluctant to be in the Spotlight!
The resulting Album was " I've Got So Much To Give" it went straight to the Top of the US R&B Charts. It contained 2 Singles " I'm gonne love you just a little bit more, baby" 3 in Pop Chart and number 1 in R&B Chart and "I've got so much to give" number 5 in R&B Chart and number 32 in Pop Chart.
Barry White's Second Album was also released in 1973, it was called "Stone Gon" this also went to number 1 in the R&B Album Charts.
It also contained Two Hit Singles, " Honey please, cant ya see" this went to Number 6 in the R&B Chart! and also number 44 in the Pop Chart. The second single was "Never gonna give you up" also a Hit, R&B 2 and Pop 7!
By 1974 Barry White had Married Lead Singer from "Love Unlimited" Glodean James, his new Album was his Biggest Ever " Cant Get Enough" it went to the Top of both Pop and R&B Charts in US and number 4 in th UK, his Highest Chart positions in both countries!
The first Single was "Cant get enough of your love, babe" number 1 in both R&B and Billboard Hot 100 Charts!
The other Single was " You're the first, the last, my everything" number 1 in R&B and number 2 on Billboard Top 100, it was also his Biggest Single Hit in UK, Reaching number 1.
Barry White's first 4 Albums (all recorded on the 20th Century Record Label) all went to number 1 in US and all went GOLD!
This Album was also Voted in the "Rolling Stone Magazine" Top 500 Greatest Albums of all time at number 281.

Great post on one of my fav artists, i loved every album you mentioned here my particular favourite was "Honey please, can't ya see" i could never understand why it didn't do as well as his other singles.
