Its the year of 1977, 32 years ago! seems a long while in Years, but to me it does not seem that long ago, I was still working at the same Hotel, I had been there since about October 1974, but things were going to change this Year!
Some Great Music was released this Year, more of that in a minute, but what did I used to play my Vinyl and Tapes on! you guessed it, that Great Piece of Equipment at the top of this entry!
A GEC MUSIC CENTRE it was called, I had purchased it myself around 1975 either from a Shop called Curry's or my Mother's Clothing Catalogue, I cannot remember, I would ask my Mother, but she doe not Speak to me now, so that's out!
I remember the Music Centre had 2 seperate Stereo Speaker's, the first Seperate Stereo Speakers I had owned, unfornately the picture I found on the Net didn't have Speakers with it!
I remember recording Vinyl on to Tape for my Car!
What a Fantastic thing that was to do!

Two more Events Happened towards the end of 1976, Firstly my 18th Birthday at the end of October. As I remember my Parents put on a Birthday Party for me at the local Hospital Social Club, I thought I was 8 years old when I saw the Football Cake they had made for me! " Its the thought that counts" so they say!
The second Event was probably more Memorable, for the first time I took my Future Wife out for the Day. I remember we went to the nearest City to our Town, a place called Norwich, it was Snowing quite heavily, so we left Norwich and went to a nearby Town called Lowestoft! Cant remember what we did at either place.
But one funny thing I can remember that happened that day, was Susan asked me who's were all the 18th Birthday Cards slung on the back seat of my Car! As I for some reason told her I was older, than I was, so my answer to her was "They are my Older Brother's Cards" Why I said that for still remains a mystery and especially as I don't even have a Brother!
I think I must put this all down to love!

The following Sunday soon arrived, and I was working the Late Shift as usual with the Second Chef, After we finished Work, I put his Bike in the back of my Car, and drove the 1 Mile to his House!
I remember being Very Nervous, it was like a Blind Date really, all I had ever seen of my Second Chef's Sister in Law, was a very small Black and White Photograph!
I remember thinking "she looked, a bit of alright"
We did'nt talk that much, it seemed it was other two were doing all the talking and not me or the Girl sitting in the Chair in the Corner! who's Name turned out to be "Susan"
Any way after about an Hour, I asked her, if she wanted me to walk her Home, she lived about 5 minutes away, she said "Yes" so I started to walk her Home!
We had to pass my Car on the way Home, so I asked Her if she wanted to go for a Ride! so we ended up not far from where I lived, the Strange thing about all of this was, we were about the same Age, knew all the same People in our Town, but had never seen each other before!
Me and my family also knew her Older Brother, he had been in my House, plenty of times before, and he also lived in the Next Street to us.
Anyway to cut a long Story short, we ended up Talking for Ages in my Car, and she was Late Home, she Had a Very Strict Father, which I did'nt know at that Time!
By the time I got her Home, Her Father and my Second Chef were out looking for us, around the Streets of our part of Town!
Needless to say, this turned out to be the last time I saw "Susan" for about 2/3 Months!
