Barry White (Leader & Producer) formed the 40 piece Love Unlimited Orchestra in 1974, they worked as a Backing Orchestra for Love Unlimited & B.W Himself!
Over the next 9 years they released 10 Albums in total:

1976: My Sweet Summer Suite
1978: My Musical Bouquet
1979: Just a Little Bit Different (Movie Theme)
1981: Let em Dance
1981: Love Un Orchestra Presents: Webster Lewis
1983: Rise
The first Album (Rhapsody in White) was L.U.O Biggest Hit, it charted in th US pop chart at number 8 & number 2 in the R&B Chart!
This Album also contained L.U.O biggest selling Single "Love's Theme" it reaches number 1 in US Hot 100 & number 10 in R&B Chart.

ReplyDeleteLoved this piece, i am also a fan of Barry White LU & LUO and have most of their albums my favourite track is My Sweet Summer Suite, favourite LUO album is White Gold, i also liked the Gene Page album Hot City released around 74
